How we work

From enquiry to delivered container

Four stages. A named point of contact throughout, a committed loading date rather than an indicative one, and a document pack at every stage.

Home  /  Process

Stage 01

Enquiry & samples

Day 1 – 7

You tell us what you need. We tell you honestly whether we can supply it at the quality and price you have in mind.

What we do

  • Confirm availability, crop year and current market level
  • Flag anything about your destination market that changes the spec
  • Courier samples, usually within five working days
  • Quote sample and courier cost up front, credited against your first order

What we need from you

  • Product and variety
  • Target specification, if you have one
  • Approximate volume
  • Destination country
Stage 02

Quotation & contract

Day 7 – 12

A firm quotation, not an indication. Incoterms, payment terms and a committed loading window, all in writing.

What we do

  • Issue a firm FOB, CFR, CIF, DAP or DDP price with the Incoterm and named place stated
  • Confirm packing format, marking and any private-label artwork
  • Issue the proforma invoice
  • Agree payment terms β€” advance TT, split TT, or irrevocable LC at sight

What we need from you

  • Approve the specification in writing
  • Confirm Incoterm and destination port
  • Release the advance, or open the LC
Stage 03

Inspection & documentation

Day 12 – 28

The stage that decides whether your container clears at the other end. Everything is tested and documented before the seal goes on.

What we do

  • Procure against the contracted specification, from units we have assessed
  • Send the lot for laboratory analysis β€” residues, aflatoxin, heavy metals as applicable
  • Arrange third-party pre-shipment inspection, yours or ours
  • Prepare the certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate and fumigation certificate
  • Retain a reference sample from every consignment

What we need from you

  • Nominate your inspection agency, if you want your own
  • Confirm any destination-specific certificate you need
Stage 04

Shipment & tracking

Day 28 onward

Container stuffed and sealed, bill of lading released, and the full document set in your hands before the vessel sails.

What we do

  • Inspect the container for cleanliness and moisture before stuffing
  • Stuff, seal and record the seal number
  • Release the bill of lading and courier the originals
  • Send the complete document set as scans the day it is issued
  • Share vessel and tracking details through to port of discharge

What we need from you

  • Settle the balance against the scanned bill of lading
  • Arrange import clearance, unless you bought DAP or DDP
Paperwork

The documents you receive

Most export deals fail on paperwork, not product. This is the set that travels with your shipment.
